The Jammu and Kashmir Civil Engineering Graduates Association (JKCEGA) is actively advocating for the rightful recognition and professional empowerment of civil engineering graduates across the region.

In recent months, JKCEGA has gained visibility on platforms like Twitter/X, uniting voices and raising legitimate demands before the administration. The association is committed to ensuring transparency, fairness, and long-term growth opportunities for engineers working within the UT.


🧾 Key Demands of JKCEGA:

  1. Creation of Gazetted Cadre Posts
    Introduction of permanent, gazetted-level positions exclusively for engineering graduates within the civil engineering departments.
  2. Timely Regularization and Promotions
    A structured policy for time-bound regularization and promotion of engineers, especially those working on contractual or ad-hoc basis.
  3. Equal Pay for Equal Work
    Ensuring pay parity among engineers performing the same duties, regardless of their contractual status.
  4. Merit-Based Recruitment and Transparent Selection
    Fair, open recruitment policies through PSC/JKSSB with weightage to qualifications and experience.
  5. Capacity Building and Training
    Government-sponsored training programs, exposure visits, and skill development courses for engineering graduates.
  6. Abolition of Exploitative Contractual Policies
    Replacing daily-wage or consolidated contracts with fair, policy-driven employment structures.
